‘Broadway Whodunit,’ from the creators of ‘Broadway Jackbox,’ drops your favorite Broadway stars in the middle of a live, unscripted murder mystery.

The year is 2020 and the American theater is shut down… but it is not shut off. Off Broadway follows the staff of a non-profit theater as they come together on Zoom and scramble to stave off extinction. The show is a scathing critique of an industry desperately trying to reinvent itself in the midst of a pandemic.

This musical is based on four short stories by Damon Runyon. In one tale, gambler Feet Samuels sells his body to science just as he realizes that Hortense loves him and that he would rather live than die. In another story, Harriet's parrot is killed, and she has problems dealing with her loss. Then, there is a gambler, "Regret", who has bloodhounds on his trail when he becomes a murder suspect. Finally, "The Brain" is bleeding profusely, and his friends search for a way to save his life through a blood transfusion.

Stinging from the latest of several romantic break-ups, Pandora Isaacs (Tanna Frederick) retreats to the safety of her parents’ ramshackle upstate country house — just 45 minutes from Broadway— where her non-theatrical sister (Julie Davis) and her sister's fiance, a real- estate executive, (Judd Nelson) are also arriving for the weekend and the family's yearly Passover Seder. Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age explores the world of Broadway from 1959 through the early 1980s as recounted by a diverse cast of Broadway stars who lived through it, creating a first-hand archive of personal backstage stories and memories. The new documentary is the long-awaited sequel to late filmmaker Rick McKay’s award-winning 2003 film Broadway: The Golden Age, continuing the saga into the '60s and '70s and spotlighting beloved classic Broadway shows including Once Upon a Mattress, Bye Bye Birdie, Barefoot in the Park, Pippin, A Chorus Line, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Chicago, and 42nd Street. Featuring a galaxy of stars including Alec Baldwin, Carol Burnett, Glenn Close, André De Shields, Jane Fonda, Robert Goulet, Liza Minnelli, Chita Rivera, Dick Van Dyke, Ben Vereen, and many more, the film also includes rare archival photos and never-before-seen footage both onstage and off.

From Broadway to streaming, Prime Video announced that Hazbin Hotel: Live on Broadway, the concert event celebrating the Season Two premiere of the hit adult animated musical series, will be coming to Prime Video on November 17. Hosted by series lead Erika Henningsen, at New York’s historic Majestic Theater, the concert event features performances of the show’s hit songs from Seasons One and Two by Erika Henningsen, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Christian Borle, Jessica Vosk, Jeremy Jordan, and Krystina Alabado, with special appearances by Stephanie Beatriz, Kimiko Glenn, Vivienne Medrano, Sam Haft, and Richard Horvitz.
